Try one week without using screens for entertainment, and instead explore your creativity, be more active, and do some things you usually don't make time to do. Most children spend far more time watching screens than is healthy for them. A study has shown that even 1 hour daily of screen time for young children has a detrimental effect on their development. What children really need is activity that is physical and uses their creative imagination. Think of all the things you could be doing instead of playing that video game or watching that TV show: reading, arts and crafts, sports, hiking and nature walks, playing board games, singing and playing music, dancing, cooking, gardening...the list is endless!
